“What is your turn around time?”

In order to keep costs low and stay profitable, Precision Rifle Works DOES NOT operate as “First come, first serve”. Instead, I batch similar jobs together for efficiency. If you NEED a firearm by a certain date for a destination hunt or a competition, please let me know in your contact form submission and I will be happy to accommodate you!

Small jobs, typically get done in the first couple hours of the morning to keep them moving. This includes replacing sights, scope mounting, and things of this nature. Turn around time on these jobs can be a few days to about a month depending on current work load.

Barrel Threading is done at least every other week to keep up with demand.

Pin and Welds are also in high demand and can range from 2-4 weeks.

Bluing is only done in the warmer months from midspring-early fall and a bluing batch consists of only 2-4 full firearms at a time. Because of the seasonal nature and the amount of work that needs to be put in, bluing jobs should expect at least a 6 month turn around time. Please do not wait until October to try and have your firearm blued.

AK Builds, I typically wait until I have at least 3 or 4 full builds before beginning a batch of AK’s. Once started, I can usually finish a batch in a week.

Precision Rifle Builds, I try to do at least two in a batch. Please expect 3-6 months depending on current work load.

Stock Refinishing is a long involved process and depending on the desired finish, you could be looking from 6 months to a year turn around time so please plan accordingly.

Glass Bedding can be batching with other jobs such as pillar bedding and repairing cracks so a good estimation on these jobs is 1-3 months.
